The decor of the serie pleats and polka dots combines spots and wrinkles animating the surface of the glazed stoneware.
The pleats are stamped onto the clay surface by linen dishtowels used to flatten the clay plates during the shaping process. The polka dots introduce a rhythm to the textile pattern of the background.
The shape reinterprets the rustic style of stoneware dishes in a contemporary way: the wheel thrown corps evoke a round and tender elegance. Its perfectly round shape is deformed and combined to elements of textile pattern plates and dots printed onto the surface.
The mark of the polka dots is enhanced by a special layer of white or colored glaze that makes them sparkle, while the red colored shard of the stoneware shines lightly through the snow-white glaze.
